Highlight of 2018: Even though my son was born 3 days before 2018, I will still say that is my highlight.
Happy memory from this summer: I went Jet Skiing with some buddies of mine in San Diego it was an awesome day.
Happy memory from this winter: Going to the Santa Monica Pier with my family.
The most difficult thing you’ve done this year: Leaving my dog behind in Atlanta while I moved to LA. Finding a place that allows his breed was hard, but now he is with me.
This time last year you were…I was at the hospital about to become a father for the first time.
Your new year’s resolution last year: To stop smoking cigarettes.
How long did it last? It lasted the entire time, it was hard to stop but I did it.
Your new year’s resolution this year: Probably to get my own house, I am tired of paying rent for an apartment.
How long is it going to last? Hopefully until the house is paid off
Your musical goal for 2019: I’d love to open up at a festival or huge show, maybe go on tour with another artist.
A new skill or hobby you’d like to get into: Flying drones looks pretty fun; I also have gotten into fantasy sports.
Your dream Christmas present: A pair of Nike Air Mags would be cool; I am a sneakerhead so anything shoe related makes me happy.
Favourite festive food: Ugh, maybe bacon wrapped shrimp…Have you had it?
Your NYE plans: Food, alcohol and family
Public figure of the year: Kanye West, because he was on the forefront of everyone’s mind this year and he did him no matter what people thought.
Movie/TV show of the year: Black Panther and West World
Artist or label to watch in 2019: I’ll say Simplify Recordings is the label to watch next year. I have some tracks coming out on that label and there are also plenty of talented artists attached to them.
Song of the year that you were involved with: I will nominate my song Nimbus as the song of the year, it caught the tail end of this year but it still came out in 2018.
Song of the year that you were not involved with: Probably “This is America” by Childish Gambino
Something you learned in 2018: That time goes by fast so spend it with the people that matter most.
A prediction about the world in 2019: Flying cars…Yea I said it
And lastly, your favourite Christmas song: Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer but sang by DMX. Have you heard that version? It’s extremely great and so funny.
