Gate 21 return this fall with a brand new vocal package ‘Together’ featuring Nimah which hit the shelves this month via the ever-reliable imprint of Peak Hour Music. The Italian production duo have carved out a solid following and presence in the dance music world after a string of power tracks that have seen them pickup support from the likes of Fedde Le Grand, Morgan Page and Exodus to name but a few.
‘Together’ is a lush and uplifting vocal package that merges together the hypnotic vocals of Nimah with a highly-energetic and slick production from the reliable beat-laboratory of Gate 21. There’s an underlying euphoria that calls back to classic Rave and almost Happy Hardcore and Hardstyle tendencies with the pitched vocals, stabs and rough-cut bass and generous lead synths, but all elements are matched with contrasting moody sub bass and a thick and rubbery bass drum and synth medley that merges altogether to result in a hypersonic production that hits hard and proud on the ‘danceability’ factor. There’s influences from the past, but also looking forward with production techniques more attuned to Future House/Bass and forward-thinking EDM styles. ‘Together’ is unapologetically positive and upbeat whilst landing perfectly on the right buttons needed to make it a guaranteed impact on the dancefloor. The producers behind the record have a clear goal to make crowds jump and move to their studio exploits and they certainly hit the nail on the head with this hammer of a record.
