Introducing Roberto Rodriguez

Up and coming DJ and producer Roberto Rodriguez began his career at the age of 15 and has turned into one of the most promising producers in the Big Room scene. After gaining support for his productions from the likes of Oliver Heldens and Timmy Trumpet, Roberto Rodriguez is beginning to become more and more in demand. We caught up with Roberto to find out more about him.

Hi Roberto, tell us a little bit about yourself?

Hi! My real name is Kamil. I’m 24 and I live in Poland. I find it weird talking about myself, you’d have to meet me in real life to truly understand me.

What made you want to get into music?

I have always liked listening to music, I’ve been into genres like House, Dance, Hardstyle and Hands Up. It got to a point where it was not enough for me and I didn’t want to be just a recipient, but also a creator. Since then I have started to learn music production and how music brands work.

Who would you love to collaborate with?

There are a lot of people, but if I had to choose it would be a toss-up between Tujamo, Timmy Trumpet and DJ Gollum.

Who are your biggest influences?

I feel like have the greatest influence on myself. I believe that it is not worth being guided by what other people would like me to do or think about. You have to create a reality that is best for you.

What would you be doing if you weren’t doing music?

This is a hard question because my main goal is to be able to live from music. However, at the moment I am currently working selling various things online. I used to work as a warehouseman.

Do you have any other hobbies?

I am interested in marketing, philosophy and broadly understood business.

If you could listen to one song forever, what would it be and why?

I have many songs that I could constantly listen to, one of them is Scooter – Nessaja probably because it has a lot of energy.

What has been your biggest career achievement so far?

It’s hard for me to decide on one, so I’ll mention three. With the song “Fine Day” I got to Beatport’s 100 Big Room chart. My song “Festival” got to Spotify’s Finland Viral 50 playlist. I also gained loads of support for my track “Mystery” by people like Oliver Heldens, Timmy Trumpet, Joachim Garraud, Don Diablo, Cedric Gervais.

What goals have you set yourself for the coming year?

I think next year will be the best. My main goal is to perform regularly as a DJ and for productions, to appear in top labels.

Suggest one of your songs that sums you up best?

I would definitely have to say my track ‘Festival’.
