Nathassia’s career has gone from strength to strength over the past few years as she has built a signature sound of Eastern and Western influences that blend beautifully with electronic elements. Having previously gained support from the likes of Blasterjaxx, Andi Durrant & BL3ND, Nathassia has turned her attention to her radio show ‘Goddess Is A DJ’ which she remixed her old hit ‘Star Sapphire’ especially. We sat down with Nathassia to discuss more about her latest release.
What inspired you to create the ‘Star Sapphire’ Remix?
I had the creative desire to remix some of my previous Nathassia singles to be included in my monthly Goddess Is A DJ radio on the EDM Festival channel of DIFM and my Goddess Is A DJ live shows.
How would you sum up the track to someone who hasn’t heard it yet?
Electronica with vintage synths, Indian drum beats and hypnotic vocals.
What were your goals for this release?
To launch Goddess Is A DJ to an unsuspecting world!
Who would you love to see supporting it?
I am not expecting any miracles because it is only my first remix, but I’d love to see Don Diablo and David Guetta supporting the release.

How has the initial reaction been?
I was pleasantly surprised to read the positive reactions from my fans, DJ’s and industry reviews. Plus, it has already been added to several Tomorrowland Spotify playlists.
Tell us more about your Goddess Is A DJ show?
Lockdown forced me to think outside the box and I was determined to find new ways to livestream to my fans all over the world. I learned how to DJ and found a new passion! Things went really quickly from there, my team and I have been pleasantly surprised to see my Goddess Is A DJ show evolve from live streaming from my house to a monthly show on the EDM Festival Channel of DIFM, to a monthly live show with big production streamed from my TV studio in London. The icing on the cake is that I have recently partnered with the Maestro platform who facilitate Livestream events for the likes of Coachella, Deadmau5 and The Grammy Awards!
What have you got planned for us, music-wise, this year?
I am working on my new NATHASSIA artist album which is out later this year. I am also working on several new Goddess Is A DJ productions as a follow up to my debut remix.
On the live show front, I will be continuing both my monthly live stream shows that were created during lockdown. The Nathassia Devine Show is streamed from my house every second Saturday of the month at www.nathassia.live and Goddess Is A DJ is live every last Saturday of the month at www.goddessisadj.tv.
