XMAS Interview & Mix Series with Toma Hawk

Toma Hawk has certainly had a busy 2020 after building up the roster of artists on his record label Lakota Music, delivering outstanding releases and building his radio show to international recognition. With excitement as to what he will achieve next year, we caught up with Toma Hawk to find out how he spends the festive period and to check out his exclusive guestmix.

What is your favourite thing about the Christmas period?

Everything is getting a little calmer and more contemplative. You can really take a breath before the new challenges.

How will you be spending your Christmas this year?

Actually like every year. Family and friends, be together and spend a good time.

What would be your dream Christmas present?

A phrase but I really mean it. That we all stay healthy.

Do you have a favourite Christmas song?

“Christmas in New Orleans” by Louis Armstrong – simply a horny voice whatever he sings (laughs)

If you could spend the holiday period anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Into the jungle in Central America and discover artefacts

Do you have any unique family traditions at Christmas?

Usually, we go somewhere in a forest where there is snow and make a fire, drink mulled wine and eat fondue. Unfortunately not possible this year.

What is your favourite Christmas film?

I don’t have one, boring isn’t it?

Which are your must-have festive foods?

The homemade cookies from the house mother.

How do you usually spend your New Year’s Eve?

Of course, we would like to be there where the hut burns. But that’s not possible…it doesn’t matter, then we’ll stay at home and after the Lakota Radio Show we’ll have a cosy evening.

Finally, do you have any new year’s resolutions for 2021 and do you think you will stick to them?

Yes, I definitely have and I will at least try to stick to them. A little less work would be something πŸ™‚
