Artist Name: Phonon

Highlight of 2018: Working with some great artist’s around the world and being able to notice the progress in my music from the start of the year to the end! I feel my artistry has really grown this year.

Happy memory from this summer: Having the time to be able to pursue music fully was the happiest and fulfilling thing I have done for a long time.

Happy memory from this winter: It was definitely watching my fan base grow on Soundcloud! Thank you everyone.

The most difficult thing you’ve done this year: Working at sea as a Marine engineer to be able to fund everything.

This time last year you were… in the same chair

Your new year’s resolution last year: To release good music.

How long did it last? The whole year.

Your new year’s resolution this year: To push my music even more and create something legendary.

How long is it going to last? All year!

Your musical goal for 2019: To work with as many artists as possible and continue to write/produce as much as I can.

A new skill or hobby you’d like to get into: I would like to improve my beat making and programming Drums.

Your dream Christmas present: Other than a recording studio… a Roland TR – 08

Favourite festive food: It has to be the traditional Christmas turkey dinner!

Your NYE plans: I’m still undecided. Possibly Berlin!!

Public figure of the year: That’s a tough one, I would say between Diplo and Calvin Harris.

Movie/TV show of the year: The Defiant Ones

Artist or label to watch in 2019: I think M.I.A will make a comeback this year with some mega pop hits.

Song of the year that you were involved with: I think “Rain In The Summer” as far as creativity and “Nobody” as far as production was concerned.

Song of the year that you were not involved with: Childish Gambino – “This Is America”

Something you learned in 2018: UAD have the best plugins ever!

A prediction about the world in 2019: Humans rushing to save the world they have destroyed.

And lastly, your favourite Christmas song: ‘Wish You Were Here’ by Pink Floyd
